Cookie Policy

Version: 2026-10-14

In short. Our website uses one cookie to remember your choice about analytics and, only if you accept, Google Analytics cookies. The customer panel uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in, so it shows no cookie banner. The Readerr Player that Customers embed on their websites, and its listening statistics, store nothing on and read nothing from the Listener's device. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of our website. We update this policy whenever the cookies we use change.

1. What this policy covers

1.1. This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on readerr.app, in the customer panel at readerr.app/app and by the Readerr Player. It is provided by IT Busters Marcin Rybak ("we", "us"); see our Legal notice.

1.2. A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser and reads back later. "Similar technologies" means other ways of storing or reading information on your device, such as localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB.

1.3. How we use personal data connected with cookies is explained in our Privacy Policy.

2. Cookies on our website and customer panel

2.1. Strictly necessary cookies are needed for something you asked for, such as signing in or remembering your cookie choice. Analytics cookies help us see how visitors use our website; we set them only if you accept.

2.2. Before you choose. Until you click "Accept analytics", Google's script is not loaded and no Google Analytics cookie is set. If you click "Reject analytics", nothing is sent to Google and we store only your choice in readerr_consent.

2.3. Google Analytics settings. We use Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode. Advertising storage, sending user data for advertising and ad personalisation are set to "denied". We do not use Google Analytics for advertising. More about these cookies: Google Analytics cookie usage.

2.4. Customer panel. The customer panel uses only the strictly necessary cookies in the table. It does not load Google Analytics, so it shows no cookie banner.

3. Third-party services on our pages

3.1. Bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile). The contact form, the sign-up and sign-in pages and the page where you confirm a sensitive action contain a check from Cloudflare that tells people from bots. It runs in a frame loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com and reads technical signals from your browser and device. Cloudflare describes what the check collects, such as your IP address and browser details, in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum and its cookie policy.

3.2. Payments (Link and Stripe). When you buy a Plan or a Top-up, or manage your subscription, you leave our website and go to checkout and billing pages run by Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a company of the Stripe group) and Stripe, on their own domains. Those pages set their own cookies under their own policies. See the Stripe cookie policy and the Link privacy notice.

3.3. Blog audio. Some blog posts include the Readerr Player. It behaves as described in section 4 and, on our blog, sends no listening statistics.

3.4. We host our fonts ourselves. Our website does not use social media plugins or advertising cookies.

4. The Readerr Player on Publisher Sites

4.1. Customers embed the Readerr Player on their own websites to play the Audio of their articles.

4.2. The Player and its listening statistics do not store anything on the Listener's device and do not read anything from it. They use no cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage or IndexedDB, and they do not create or send any identifier of the Listener or the device.

4.3. The Player does not download the audio file until the Listener presses play.

4.4. After the Listener presses play, the Player sends short listening events to Readerr: that playback started and when it reached 25%, 50%, 75% and 95% of the recording, together with the address of the audio file, the language, the article's identifier and the website's host name. These events contain no cookie and no identifier of the Listener or the device. The service that receives them does not store the Listener's IP address or browser details.

4.5. To deliver the Player script and the audio file, the Listener's browser connects to our content delivery network. Like any web server, it sees the Listener's IP address and browser details in order to deliver the file. We do not keep these requests.

4.6. For the Player on a Publisher Site, the Customer decides about the processing and is the controller. The Customer's own privacy and cookie notices apply. We give Customers template wording for their notice: Publisher privacy notice.

5. How to change or withdraw your consent

5.1. On our website. Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page of readerr.app. The cookie banner opens again and you can accept or reject analytics. If you reject after accepting before, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser and reload the page, so nothing more is sent to Google. Withdrawing consent does not affect data collected before.

5.2. In your browser. You can view and delete cookies and block them for any website in your browser's settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you cannot sign in to the customer panel. Help pages of the most common browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Edge

5.3. Google Analytics opt-out. Google also offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics on all websites.

6. Changes and contact

6.1. We update this policy when we add, remove or change a cookie. The version date at the top shows the last change.

6.2. Questions: [email protected].
